Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge Program Engineering and Production, developing and documenting procedures to assemble, test, process, and manufacture aluminum extrusions. You will optimize processes, implement tooling and training, and collaborate with suppliers and production teams to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of experience; PLCs and controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or an engineering related field (required).
  • 3-5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience (required).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for aluminum extrusions.
  • Implement process techniques and fixtures in production environments.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to improve quality, cost, and throughput.
  • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Job Summary

Work as the liaison between Program Engineering and Production to create, document, develop, and implement procedures required to assemble, test, process, and manufacture aluminum extrusions.

What you will be doing
  • Developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing process.
  • Developing and implementing process techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
  • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, andthroughput.
  • Confer with suppliers in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or materialpurchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative cost to provide data for operational decisions.
  • Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technicaltraining for employees.
  • Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
  • Provide engineering support in production departments to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Support company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Design and approve tooling prior to a build.
What will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or an engineering related field. (required)
  • 3-5 years of engineering or manufacturing experience. (required)
  • Experience working with PLCs. (preferred)
  • Experience with controls. (preferred)
  • Experience integrating new fabrication cells, automation, and production equipment with existing manufacturing machinery. (preferred)
