TES Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite, fast-paced production environment in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on shop-floor support and equipment uptime.

You will troubleshoot with maintenance, train operators, and drive continuous improvement in equipment use, reliability, and efficiency while spending the majority of time on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in equipment-intensive manufacturing environments.
• Strong exposure to shop-floor operations.
• Highly hands-on and comfortable spending the majority of time on the production floor.
• Strong problem-solving skills around equipment and maintenance issues.
• Able to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic operation.
• Collaborative team player across operations, maintenance, and engineering.
• Self-directed and capable of owning floor engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support focused on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support focused on the shop floor
• Troubleshoot equipment issues in partnership with maintenance
• Support production operations and ensure machines remain operational
• Train operators and maintenance on equipment and processes
• Drive continuous improvement related to equipment use, reliability, and efficiency
• Support equipment rotation, upgrades, and process optimization
• Maintain a strong on-floor presence (approximately 90% of time)

• Maintenance teams (equipment troubleshooting and uptime)

• Other engineers for knowledge sharing and overflow support
• Site leadership and HR/TA partners for planning and support
