Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Rotatives
Working Pattern: Fulltime, Onsite
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Responsibilities
- Ensure product integrity for component is delivered through alignment of method of manufacture with design intent by interfacing with the appropriate design engineering organization.
- Ensure manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture are capable of meeting and continuing to meet requirements for quality, cost, delivery and lead time.
- Adhere to process change management procedures via FAIRs, MVAs and technical verification.
- Eliminate waste through setup reduction, scrap reduction, machine utilization and method improvement.
- Investigate and determine corrective actions for customer complaints and quality non‑compliances. Lead problem solving/corrective action groups made up of cross‑functional team members.
- Create and maintain elements of the Technical Package which clearly define the manufacturing process.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Master’s degree with experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- JD/PhD
- 9+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering in lieu of degree
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of manufacturing processing of Aerospace components
- Experience with machining principles for turning, grinding, drilling, milling, or shaping machines
- Project management experience working in a manufacturing environment, dealing with multiple customers/suppliers simultaneously, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extensive experience in PFMEA (Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis), Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Manufacturing Technology, Process Audits, and Design For Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Knowledge and understanding of DZD (Drive to Zero Defects) and ability to lead cross‑functional teams of suppliers and RR personnel through this initiative
- Knowledge of FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) and Method Validation Approval (MVA) processes
