Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to operations and drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and methods to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time goals.

You will develop, implement, validate and sustain manufacturing processes and digital systems, collect data to demonstrate current and future capability, and participate in New Part Introduction from wax tooling through casting development.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in STEM or Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering with 3+ years in manufacturing, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering with 1+ year manufacturing experience, or
  • Master’s Degree with manufacturing experience OR PhD in STEM with manufacturing experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve processes and methods for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time.
  • Ensure product safety and conformity to specifications; investigate and resolve safety-related issues.
  • Drive a culture of zero defects; collaborate with functions to reduce risk and enable Right First Time quality.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and improve manufacturing processes and digital systems; capture and analyze data to prove current and future capability.
  • Lead New Part Introduction from wax tooling through casting development.
  • Utilize PFMEAs, control plans, MSA activities in manufacturing/assembly with HPC and Production system concepts; apply Lean practices.
