The Molecular Imaging division of Siemens Healthineers has an opening for a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. An ideal candidate would have experience in developing and improving manufacturing processes with a strong focus on product quality to ensure full compliance to all FDA requirements. Responsibilities
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, material flow and space requirement to ensure on-time product shipments.
- Design & implement factory & office layout to ensure efficient flow of people & materials.
- Establish and maintain labor standards through time studies, estimates, and analysis of historical data.
- Create & maintain accurate product Bills of Materials & Routings.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs for production staff.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Design fixtures and tooling to improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct time studies to validate labor reporting accuracy and support precise product costing.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing techniques such as Kanban, Kaizen & 5S.
- Review and approve applicable engineering specifications and drawings for manufacturability.
- Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, FDA regulations and good manufacturing practices.
Required Skills

- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related discipline.
- Strong Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial engineering background in a related medical field.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills.
- Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations, including qualification protocols such as IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage change in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Strong project management skills, including ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work both independently and within integrated teams.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools: kanban, kaizen, poka-yoke, visual management, just-in-time, 5S.
Preferred skills to have for the success of this role
- 2–5 years of relevant industry experience and successful demonstration of fulfilling key responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Experience with programming or advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., VBA, macros).

The Annual Base Pay For This Position Is
Min $79,500 - Max $119,200
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
