Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Stoves unit in Halifax, PA. This role focuses on lean initiatives, process improvement, and interfacing with multiple brands in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The candidate will drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost, establish run rates, and support new product launches while leveraging a strong lean toolkit. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook, & AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to large scale projects to achieve timely improvements to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics.
  • Drive facility's lean culture by supporting business process improvements through Continuous Improvement events.
  • Assess and eliminate safety risks in the manufacturing environment and drive improvements to ergonomics throughout the production process.
  • Establish production run rates, balance standard work, create smooth flow of material and finished product.
  • Improve product quality by building quality control and mistake-proofing into the manufacturing process.
  • Drive cost reduction through improved labor efficiency, improved material utilization, reduced defect rates.
  • Implement product changes through ECO process and support new product launches.
