Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a growing manufacturer of highly engineered, custom-built industrial equipment. You will support production operations, lead continuous improvement, and enable successful new product introductions in a high-mix environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, with hands-on problem solving, process documentation, and safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting complex assembly or engineered-to-order products.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization techniques.
• Proficiency with CAD software and standard business applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Create and maintain work instructions, routings, process documentation, and standard work procedures.
• Provide hands-on production support by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and driving sustainable corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions and custom product configurations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
• Support tooling, fixture, and equipment improvements to increase production effectiveness and operational flexibility.
• Analyze manufacturing data and process performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Participate in root cause investigations related to quality concerns, production challenges, and customer issues.

• Experience supporting capital equipment projects and process improvements.

What's Offered

• Base annual salary range of $100,000 - $115,000
