  • U.S. work authorization; ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish BOMs and methods of manufacturing per specs.
  • CAD modeling and shop drawing development.
  • Understand GD&T and develop inspection methods.
  • Support daily operations and on-time project delivery.
  • Project manage new products within quoted timelines and budgets.
  • Assist Quality and perform ad hoc duties as needed.

Essner is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive major business improvements in a high paced, high mix manufacturing business to achieve safety, quality, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics. The ideal team member will have proven process improvement, planning, and project management experience delivering results in a precision machining and/or fabrication environment.

Reports to Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Method of Manufacturing while following customer and industry specifications
  • CAD modeling (Catia experience a plus)
  • Develop Shop Drawings/Sketches (Shop Aids)
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Development of manufacturing Inspection methods (templates, check fixtures, etc)
  • Daily Operations Support
  • Project manage/develop new products on quoted timeline and budget
  • Support Quality functions and Special Process Audits as required
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned
  • Design ability is a plus
  • Evaluate new technology and new capabilities in support of current and future work statements
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Three (3) years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Ability to read and understand precautions, safety, procedures, and other specifications as necessary to perform job function.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or equivalent Engineering field
  • Five (5) years of experience working in Manufacturing Industry
  • Experience working in the CNC Machining, Forming, & Special Process environments
  • Experience Programming Sheet Metal components (Mastercam software supporting CNC Routers, Waterjets, and Punch Presses)
  • Experience utilizing Nesting software
  • Extensive knowledge in multiple aerospace OEM specification review
  • Experience implementing Continuous improvement projects
  • Experience working in a business that holds AS9100, ISO9001, or equivalent Quality certifications
