Job summary

Align Precision Corp. is seeking an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to conceive, evaluate, and recommend new equipment, tooling, and processes aimed at improving safety, reliability, capacity, and reducing costs.

The role involves leading technical analyses, supporting production, and driving cost and downtime reductions across lean and compliance initiatives. The incumbent will develop work instructions, assess tooling needs, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5–7 years of experience.
  • Aerospace/manufacturing experience with precision machined components.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop aircraft fabrication, assembly, and installation work instructions by evaluating drawings, tool designs, process specs and equipment specs.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and equipment to support manufacturing.
  • Perform root cause corrective action for manufacturing support.
  • Train and collaborate with other engineers and planners.
  • Prioritize workflow to meet customer needs and delivery dates.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and kaizen activities.
  • Provide liaison support for production via work instructions and BOM modifications.

Description

Position Summary: Conceives, investigates, evaluates, and makes recommendations for new equipment, tooling and processes to improve safety, reliability, capacity and reduce costs. Performs complex analysis, design, and/or assembly related to manufacturing or industrial engineering projects . Investigates and analyzes unique or highly technical manufacturing or industrial engineering assignments and provides technical assistance in establishing operational procedures and methods . Performs technical surveillance of a complex nature in the control of product, design concepts, and specification requirements . Evaluates engineering changes and determines appropriate labor or equipment standards to meet specification requirements. Utilizes systematic problem solving and data collection to identify and resolve problems, including driving cost and downtime reduction. Leads and/or participates in health, safety, environmental, production, material control, Sig Sigma and R&D project teams. Writes weekly activity and project reports, develops action plans, and generates work instructions, test procedures and other documentation to support production operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include , but are not limited to :

Develop aircraft fabrication, assembly, and installation work instructions by evaluating engineering drawings, tool designs, process specifications, and equipment specifications

Evaluate and recommend tools and equipment for the support of manufacturing

Perform root cause corrective action for the support of manufacturing

Train and work with other engineers and planners

Prioritize and adjust work flow to meet customer needs

Participate and incorporate Lean Manufacturing and initiatives

Provide liaison support for production floor via work instruction and manufacturing bill of materials modifications

Understand and be aware of customer schedules and current engineering resources to match the needs and delivery dates on the schedule

  • Knowledge of Special Outside Processing operations
  • Knowledge of precision machined component manufacturing in an Aerospace environment.
  • Ability to create process plans for CNC machining and assembly operations in an ERP system
  • Knowledge of machined electronic enclosures preferred (Fastened, Bonded, Brazed)
  • CAD/CAM proficiency in NX or Solidworks preferred

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience, preferred .

Technical Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions

Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating s ystem

Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business

Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

S trong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

Extended screen time

Long periods of sitting

Potentially long hours

Supervisory Responsibilities : None.
