The salary range for this role, based in Fort Smith, is $78,300.00 to $97,900.00. Base salaries are determined during the interview process by assessing a candidate\'s experience, skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

We are looking for a talented manufacturing engineer to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineer\'s responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new processes and methods, and ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards. To be successful, you should be able to work effectively within a team and have a high level of technical expertise, with the ability to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

Manufacturing Engineer Duties & Responsibilities
  • Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement
  • Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements
  • Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow
  • Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems
  • Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations
  • Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports
  • Analyzing production data to provide recommendations to maintenance & production teams on focus areas
  • Completing heat map exercises and Pareto production issues to align with site priorities
  • Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
  • Establishing safety procedures for individuals working with dangerous chemicals
  • Conducting tests and monitoring equipment process performance throughout production
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes
  • Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Estimating production costs
Manufacturing Engineer Skills & Qualifications
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting designs and identifying effective solutions
  • Ingenuity in applying industrial engineering concepts to address production problems
  • Interpersonal skills for developing positive working relationships with production staff
  • Math skills for applying advanced topics including troubleshooting, calculus, analysis and design
Manufacturing Engineer Education & Experience
  • Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required
  • 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing operations, processes, and machinery
  • Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and management skills
