Quest Global in Foley, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements on the shop floor, focusing on product and process optimization in a highly regulated production environment.

You will develop standard work, maintain process documentation, and collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure robust controls. This on-site role requires strong communication, safety training, and aerospace-industry exposure preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
3–5 years’ manufacturing or mechanical experience.
CATIA or equivalent software experience.
SharePoint and SAP experience preferred.
Shop floor/manufacturing safety training.
GD&T experience a plus.
Aerospace industry exposure preferred.
Ability to develop and present business correspondences.
Experience in ambiguous situations requiring initiative.
Strong communication and teamwork, with self-direction.
MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Drive improvements in manufacturing processes including products, equipment, and quality.
Develop standard work combination sheet and production observation sheet.
Maintain and control production process documentation.
Present project updates to customers in reviews.
Investigate and implement changes to manufacturing procedures.
Assist on the shop floor as needed.
Work with Quality Engineers on gauing and process control.
Troubleshoot and continuously improve production processes.
Follow work rules and safety standards.
Own project goals and ensure success.

What You Will Do

Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, and quality.
Develop the standard work combination sheet, observation sheet for production.
Maintain and control process documentation of production processes.
Present project and work updates to customers through presentations and other review meetings.
Investigate, incorporate and close out changes to manufacturing procedures.
Assist in the shop floor as necessary.
Work with Quality Engineers to develop gauging and systems for process control.
Troubleshooting and continuous improvement of production processes.
Follow prescribed work rules and safety standards.
Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure project success.

Required Skills And Experience

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent with 3-5 years’ experience
Experience with CATIA or equivalent required
Previous experience using SharePoint and SAP strongly preferred
Training in shop floor/manufacturing safety required
Experience with GD&T a plus
Exposure to the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
Ability to develop and present business correspondences required
Experience working in ambiguous situations, such as acting when all the information is not available, required
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment but can also be self-directed required
Proficiency with MS Office required

Pay Range:

$70,000 - $73,000/ year

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Travel requirements:

Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required

Work Requirements

This role is considered an on-site position located in Foley, AL.
Mostly Shop Floor Environments with more than half the day spent standing/walking. Occasional office involvement.
Substantial amounts of computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 8 AM to 3 PM.
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
