ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Automation & Process Development
- Identify, develop, and implement automation solutions throughout the foundry and CNC machining operations.
- Support robotic integration projects and automated manufacturing systems.
- Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and recommend process improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Manufacturing Engineering
- Support new product introductions as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aluminum sand castings and secondary machining operations.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
- Support APQP, PPAP, and customer quality requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing performance.
Simulation & Engineering
- Utilize MAGMASOFT (or similar casting simulation software) to optimize gating, risering, solidification, and casting quality.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews with customers and internal teams.
- Analyze manufacturing data to improve process capability and reduce variation.
Tooling & Design
- Design machining fixtures, workholding, gauges, and manufacturing tooling.
- Assist with pattern design and tooling improvements.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Support tooling development for new and existing products.
CNC Manufacturing
- Work with machining personnel to improve CNC manufacturing processes.
- Design fixtures and workholding solutions that improve quality, repeatability, and productivity.
- Support machining process development and troubleshooting.
- Follow all safety policies and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Education, Experience, and Attributes:
Preferred Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent manufacturing experience will be strongly considered in place of a degree.
Desired Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, machining, foundry operations, automation, robotics, or industrial engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
