Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer / Sr. Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Machinist / Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting precision prototype services through programming and operation of machine tools and application of engineering technology. Applicants must demonstrate understanding of machine tool geometry and kinematics. CNC PROGRAMMING AND EXECUTION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop manufacturing processes and documentation including tooling selection, work-holding, CAM programming, finishing processes, work instructions, and control plans.
  2. Program, setup, and operate CNC Mills, Lathes, Swiss Machines, and EDM.
  3. Understand and apply GD&T principles.
  4. Qualify parts with SMTE, collaborating with QC when needed.
  5. Maintain project schedules through manufacturing phases.
  6. Apply the latest manufacturing technology and industry processes.
  7. Participate in product development and design review meetings.
  8. Collaborate with team members to formulate and implement operating procedures, resolve issues, and provide technical feedback.

Essential Skills

  1. Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer/Machinist/Toolmaker with a portfolio of projects.
  2. Experience in MasterCAM software.
  3. Experience with 5-axis machining, Swiss lathe machining, live tool lathes.
  4. Familiarity with FANUC, HAAS, MITSUBISHI, SIEMENS, CELOS controls.
  5. Lean manufacturing experience.
  6. ISO 9001/ISO 13485 experience.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills.
  8. CNC programming and execution experience.
  9. Macro/Post Processor experience is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of experience as a tooling manufacturing engineer.
  2. Experience in the medical device or aerospace and defense industries.
  3. 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience with CNCs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $52.88 - $64.90/hr.
