Cullerton Group seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support heavy equipment manufacturing, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance. You will review logs, specs, and workloads to ensure QA adherence and optimize workflows.
The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, CAD/MES experience, Six Sigma Green Belt, and willingness to relocate to client sites across the U.S.; current placement is Chillicothe, IL.
The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support and guidance on all aspects of equipment manufacturing process, including costs, quality, compliance with safety guidelines and environmental requirements for manufacturing. Specific job duties include: review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications; review and approve work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays; review charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization; evaluate data and reports utilizing manufacturing execution systems (MES) software to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards; evaluate product development and manufacturing procedures using computer-aided design (CAD) software; troubleshoot complications and conduct analysis using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology; recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability; review and develop the design and manufacturing process requirements using engineering documentation software; and, recommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards. Perform duties in compliance with Six Sigma principles. Job duties are performed in a manufacturing setting to support heavy equipment design and manufacturing process.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Requires twenty-four months of prior work experience as a design engineer, industrial engineer, computer engineer, or related field, and such experience must include: professional experience must include work with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software; utilization of Manufacturing Execution Systems software (MES); utilization of engineering documentation software (such as Agile or EPIX); and Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Must be willing to relocate to unanticipated client site across the U.S. Current placement is in Chillicothe, IL.
