Electronics Manufacturing Engineer – Direct Hire

Schedule: First Shift | Full-Time

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Chelmsford, MA. This is a first shift, full-time position ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics manufacturing, particularly in a defense contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve technical problems encountered during the production process.
• Create and maintain manufacturing visual aids, routings, bills of material, detailed assembly and inspection instructions, and tooling/fixturing as required to process manufacturing orders.
• Develop and maintain programs for production equipment including SMT, AOI, X-ray, wave solder, wire cutting and stripping.
• Evaluate and interpret customer documentation for mechanical and electrical build-to-print assemblies, including PCBA's, cables, backplanes, and military chassis assemblies.
• Incorporate customer engineering change notices into manufacturing documentation.
• Review and approve engineering ECO packages and purchase specifications.
• Analyze current manufacturing processes, identifying and implementing improvements to reduce cost and enhance quality.
• Review RFQs for completeness including quantity, special instructions, and scope of work.
• Develop and document operating procedures and work instructions to drive consistent productivity and quality.
• Utilize advanced Excel, PDF editing, and Word skills for documentation and analysis.

Additional Required Experience:

• Hands-on experience with cable and harness assembly.
• Demonstrated knowledge of chassis builds and mechanical integration.
• Experience with full box-build assembly, including both mechanical and electronic subcomponents.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in electronic manufacturing.
• Background in a Defense Contracting environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Total Quality Management and continuous process improvement.
• Advanced skills in Excel, and proficiency with editing PDFs and Word documents.
