The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting production processes, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering and manufacturing, driving initiatives for cost reduction, quality improvement, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering to launch and support new products
- Design, build, and maintain equipment and production tools
- Optimize product flow using standard work and Lean principles
- Monitor manufacturing processes for compliance with specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and initiate work orders
- Lead cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform PFMEA studies and validation testing
- Support production planning, material flow, and documentation
- Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures
- Ensure supplier compliance with quality and productivity standards
- Travel to support suppliers, customers, and manufacturing sites as needed
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) and advanced manufacturing initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in CAD, AutoCAD, PLM, CNC, PLC, Jira, and R Language preferred
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and root cause analysis skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Six Sigma training and leadership experience preferred
- Computer-literate and capable of analyzing technical data
