Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in our Bradford-area manufacturing operations. You will design and optimize processes, support production, and collaborate with QA to uphold high quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, cross-functional teamwork, and ongoing cost reduction without compromising product performance. Candidates should bring 3+ years of engineering experience and CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
  • Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes, increasing production efficiency, and resolving production-related issues.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design programs.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with production personnel and supporting manufacturing equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or performance.
  • Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools; ensure proper maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and production reports.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

Job Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
