Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for CNC machining, process optimization, and hands-on collaboration? A pioneering company in high-precision motion control solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Salem, MA area to help shape the future of manufacturing excellence. Hours & Pay
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 annually (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire
Your Impact as a Manufacturing Engineer
In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturing processes are as effective and efficient as possible. From refining CAD models to reviewing bills of material, your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of quality and throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerance, and cost-effectiveness
- Define and document manufacturing processes for components and assemblies
- Design or procure fixtures, gauges, and tooling for production
- Create process routes and BOMs within the ERP system
- Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and update documentation accordingly
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and QC teams to improve quality and flow
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, work holding, and machining principles
- Strong understanding of machine shop practices and measurement techniques
- CAD/solid modeling expertise and fluency in design/dimensioning standards
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support manufacturing workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with creativity and accountability
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role bridges office and shop floor environments. You'll regularly engage with tooling, machinery, and physical materials in a clean, modern manufacturing facility. Occasional lifting, standing, or use of hand tools is expected as part of the collaborative engineering process.
