Job summary

Scuttlebutt Services, LLC in East Peoria, IL is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing/Operations Supervisor to review, analyze and optimize existing processes using lean methods. You will interpret drawings and production write-ups to assemble and test products in line with UL and quality requirements.

The role supports planning manpower and equipment to meet production schedules and lead process improvement projects on the shop floor, mentoring the Ops team and coordinating with engineering.

Job Brief

In this role you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing & optimizing existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using lean manufacturing methods. You will be required to interpret engineering drawing packages and sales write-ups to assemble and test products in accordance with customer and quality requirements including UL. You will assist the directing manager to plan necessary manpower and equipment to complete production and testing functions efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with production schedules.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Manufacturing engineering experience is required.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Desire to work in hands on, shop floor environment
• Experience using test/inspection equipment
• Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Compensation:

$95,000 per year
