Job summary

CCI/Speer in Lewiston, ID is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support our manufacturing facility. The role involves planning, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems to power plant equipment in a safe, code-compliant manner.

The ideal candidate will hold a Journeyman Electrician license, have strong reading of blueprints, and demonstrate safe work practices. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, 401(k), PTO, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Must read, write and speak English fluently.
Must hold Journey level Electricians papers and state/local licenses.
Must be able to read advanced math calculations.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Must be able to learn to drive a forklift safely within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Install and repair electrical systems and components of production machinery following codes and blueprints.
Plan wiring layouts and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus.
Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace faulty components.
Test equipment and communicate results to Supervisor.
Coordinate with maintenance and outside contractors as needed.
Maintain stock of supplies and prepare requisitions.
Monitor time and materials on work orders and document accordingly.
Assist with other shop tasks (welding, carpentry, mechanical work) as needed.
