Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site internship/co-op in Cedar Rapids to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing electrical engineering, supporting high-frequency radios and circuit board production.

You will interpret drawings, analyze tolerance issues, and participate in capacity planning, defect reduction, and root cause analysis. Training and development programs accompany exposure to SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, eView, and PDM tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, CS Engineering, or related STEM.
• Background in Root Cause Analysis.
• Relevant experience from coursework, projects, or on‑the‑job training.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.

• Background in Root Cause Analysis.

• Relevant experience gained through on‑the‑job training, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience in manufacturing environments.

• Prior Experience in RF Technology

• Demonstrated interest or experience in electronics.

• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

• Prior RTX internship, co‑op, or work experience

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
