Job summary

Ferrara in Forest Park, IL is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor to lead plant-wide health and safety programs. You will monitor conditions, ensure compliance with policies and governmental standards, and maintain EHS programs across two facilities.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for fostering a safety-first culture. The role involves hands-on safety coaching, incident investigations, and collaboration with Engineering, HR, Quality, and Operations to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental sciences or related field, or a combination of education and experience
• Experience in a safety-focused manufacturing environment preferred
• First Aid, CPR, AED skills or other EHS certifications a plus
• Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene and health hazards and regulations
• Awareness of environmental policies, standards, guidelines and local requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership for Forest Park and Bellwood facilities
• Train employees on site safety and OSHA-required topics
• Lead safety initiatives and continuous improvement in safety performance
• Investigate incidents and coordinate with site leadership
• Ensure regulatory compliance and record-keeping with HR and insurance
• Collaborate with Engineering, HR, Quality, Operations on goals and plans
