PPG is seeking an EHS Specialist for its Greensboro facility to manage a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program. You will report to the Industrial Coatings Sr. EHS Leader and lead best practices to sustain the EHS mission and vision.

Responsibilities include training, risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and emergency response, with focus on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in sustainability metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or a related science.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical exposure advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT/NIOSH/ANSI/NFPA regulations and incident investigation techniques.
• Ability to influence safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements and policies.
• Provide leadership and direction for EHS training.
• Evaluate the EHS impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.
• Drive key safety initiatives including Job Safety Analysis, site safety risk assessments, risk mitigation, and Management of Change.
• Support site management and provide coaching and review of incident investigations and corrective actions through 5-Why and other methods.
• Provide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.
• Participate in emergency response activities.
• Develop programs to reduce EHS risks and ensure regulatory and PPG requirements are met.
• Complete and submit environmental reports and site permits; oversee Waste Management Program.
