Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. seeks a safety professional at the Mansfield, TX plant to plan, direct, and implement the company safety program. You will work with leadership to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free environment, lead trainings, and manage incident investigations and regulatory reporting.

Primary duties include policy development, site inspections, safety meetings, and maintaining records while coordinating workers' compensation activities and safety communications across teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 4–5 years related experience in housing environment.
• OHSA Certification
• First Aid and CPR
• Ability to work with a senior leadership team and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Personal integrity and ethical conduct with confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHA rules.
• Train managers and employees on site safety practices, fire prevention, and handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Facilitate regular safety meetings and safety orientation for new employees.
• Investigate accidents, prepare reports, and support regulatory submissions.
• Inspect facilities for hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Lead workers' compensation administration and liaise with insurer to minimize lost time.
• Represent the organization in safety groups and maintain safety records.
• Conduct forklift training and certifications as required.
