Job summary

PaperWorks US in Baldwinsville, NY seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead the site’s safety and compliance program. You will develop and implement programs to reduce incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a culture of safety through training and risk assessments.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide on-site leadership to plant staff, manage hazard controls, incident investigations, audits, and safety initiatives to drive operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS Manager experience in manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and NFPA.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage site EHS programs to reduce incidents and improve performance.
• Maintain records, permits, and reports per guidelines from agencies.
• Lead hazard analyses, risk assessments, and action tracking for corrective actions.
• Oversee investigations of injuries, incidents, and near misses; coordinate workers’ compensation return-to-work processes.
