Job summary

PaperWorks US in New York seeks an experienced EHS Coordinator to lead environmental, health, and safety programs for a folding carton facility. The role focuses on developing and delivering training initiatives to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across operations.

You will perform safety audits, manage SDS and Hazard Communication, and oversee incident investigations while reporting to OSHA and EPA. On-site work with occasional training travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; folding carton or packaging industry experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NYSDEC regulations.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and track training programs for all employees, onboarding, refreshers, and job-specific safety instruction.
• Develop engaging training materials (presentations, manuals, videos) for manufacturing operations.
• Conduct hands-on safety drills and simulations (fire evacuation, chemical spill response).
• Maintain training records and ensure certifications are up to date.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and improve content based on feedback.
