Job summary

KC Elite Staffing LLC is partnering with a growing manufacturer in Arkansas City, KS to find an experienced EHS Manager to lead their safety and environmental compliance efforts.

This is a leadership role for someone who takes ownership of workplace safety and knows how to build a culture around it — not just enforce a checklist. The position reports to the site leadership and focuses on building robust EHS programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related — Master's a plus
• 8+ years of EHS experience, including 3+ years leading a team or program
• Solid grasp of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ISO 14001/45001 standards
• Manufacturing background in food & beverage
• EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM preferred)

Responsibilities

• Build and manage EHS programs that keep the company compliant with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations
• Lead audits and inspections, then turn findings into real improvements
• Own incident investigations from root cause to corrective action
• Train employees and leadership on safety best practices
• Track EHS metrics to guide smarter safety decisions
• Keep emergency response plans current and tested
• Mentor site-level safety staff or coordinators
