Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer II to support assembly and testing of complex systems in a manufacturing setting. You will create, maintain, and improve work instructions and process documentation that drive quality, efficiency, and consistency.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to translate technical information into clear guidelines, enable training, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

2+ years in technical writing or related manufacturing environments.
2+ years creating, editing, or maintaining technical work instructions.
1+ years supporting manufacturing operations involving complex systems.
2+ years using MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and maintain manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Support to capture changes and future build requirements.
Develop clear written and visual instructions for assembly and test operations.
Audit work instructions and guide technicians through reviews and validation.
Interpret schematics, 3D models, diagrams, and layouts to improve content.
Support continuous improvement projects targeting efficiency and quality.
Update materials promptly after manufacturing escalations and engineering changes.
Gather technical information and translate it for technical and non-technical audiences.
