Job summary

Firebolt Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Director to lead daily production operations, optimize throughput, and maximize output efficiency for a $40M LED signage plant in Michigan. The role is 100% on-site and oversees ~100 facility staff through department managers, turning revenue targets into efficient shop-floor execution while upholding strict quality, lean, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing/production with 5+ years in shop-floor leadership.
• Experience in mid-to-high volume custom manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with facilities revenue in the $30M-$50M range is preferred.
• General systems knowledge; lean frameworks (5S, Kanban, Kaizen) useful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant production operations and optimize throughput.
• Manage master scheduling, workload balancing, and shop-floor execution.
• Identify bottlenecks, clear blockers, and streamline workflows.
• Drive 5S and Lean practices; oversee SOPs and quality gates.
