Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet is offering a Fall 2026 Engineering Internship in Houston, TX. The role is part-time (20 hours/week) from August 31 to November 27, 2026, with work alongside engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to drive efficiency, standardize processes, and support digital transformation.

Interns will analyze production data, develop dashboards, and contribute to reporting automation using Excel, Python, Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related engineering or CS field.
• Strong data accuracy and documentation discipline.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Curious about process improvement, digitalization, and data-driven manufacturing outcomes.
• Able to translate technical findings into clear summaries for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Document, update, and improve SOPs for manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Support development of training programs for production and quality teams.
• Standardize reports, metrics, and documentation for clarity across teams.
• Analyze production, quality, and operational data to find trends and opportunities.
• Support tracking of throughput, FPY, UPH, and other KPIs in manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and dashboards to give real-time visibility.
• Assist in reporting automation using Excel, Python, and BI tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Document project activities and reporting workflows for continuity.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the internship.
