Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace, a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, is seeking a Department Lead for 1st shift and a second shift in South Windsor, CT. The role is onsite 100% with two shift options: 1st shift Monday–Friday 7:00AM–3:30PM and 2nd shift 3:00PM–11:30PM.

The candidate should guide and collaborate with associates, drive Kaizen, Lean, and safety initiatives, and partner with the Business Unit Manager on monthly build plans and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Interact with employees at all levels with good interpersonal skills.
• Understand customer requirements for the responsible area.
• Motivate and lead the team.
• Assist and support Business Unit Manager with monthly build plan and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce Pursuit Policies and Procedures.
• Drive Kaizen and apply lean principles to meet business needs.
• Ensure a safe work environment and lead monthly department safety inspections.
• Maintain area, equipment, and tooling in neat condition.
• Adhere to all company policies and core values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
