Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a leading global innovator to transform manufacturing operations through AI-driven data science. You will build a brand-new AI application from scratch, accessing rich manufacturing data to create models that improve safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency across multiple facilities.

You will design data pipelines, perform advanced analytics, and develop predictive models for downtime, defects, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional data experience with emphasis on modeling and pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and manage robust data pipelines and data structures.
• Strong data analytics background with insights from messy enterprise data.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks.
• Experience applying statistics, ML, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to present to diverse audiences.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex operational challenges into measurable analytical questions and use cases.
• Access and assess data from manufacturing sources including quality and maintenance systems.
• Build robust datasets and scalable pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks.
• Conduct exploratory analysis, forecasting, and optimization to drive decisions.
• Develop validated predictive or prescriptive models for downtime, yield, and maintenance.
• Evaluate data quality and readiness before model deployment.
• Transform findings into clear recommendations for plant personnel and leaders.
• Create dashboards and visualizations communicating trends and risks.
• Collaborate with data engineering and OT teams to productionize analytics.
• Monitor models post-deployment and track business impact.
