Job summary

Hadrian seeks a data science engineer to forecast manufacturing outcomes and model geometry-based processes. You will embed parts by geometry, material, tolerances, and route to predict cycle time, tool wear, quality, and yield for high-mix aerospace parts, enabling informed decisions before production begins.

You will own end-to-end models and pipelines, validate with backtests, and collaborate with ML Platform and Data Engineering to deploy and monitor improvements.

Qualifications

• Forecasting and prediction on real manufacturing data with honest uncertainty.
• Representation learning and embeddings; similarity and retrieval for sparse data.
• Proficient in Python; builds features and models that feed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production models for cycle time, tool life, quality, and demand with calibrated uncertainty.
• Model off geometry by engineering features and building geometric/graph models.
• Create part/operation embedding to transfer behavior to cold-start parts.
• Validate with backtesting respecting time ordering and part-family leakage.
• Own end-to-end pipelines including training, serving, monitoring, and retraining.
