Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Manager – Manufacturing Base to oversee cost accounting across multiple plants. The role drives standard costing, product costing, and inventory valuation while analyzing variances to improve margins.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing costing expertise, multi-plant experience, and strong analytical skills. SAP proficiency is preferred; CPA or MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Multi-plant cost accounting experience across plants.
• Expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Proficient analytical skills and ability to partner with operations leadership.
• CPA or MBA is a plus; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead standard costing, product costing, and inventory valuation across multiple plants.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances to identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Oversee cost accounting activities related to month-end close and financial reporting.
• Partner with plant managers on budgets, forecasts, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Strengthen inventory controls and establish consistent cost accounting processes across locations.
