Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst with manufacturing experience to join a collaborative accounting team. The primary focus is cost accounting, including standard labor and overhead costs, variances, material costs, profitability analysis, and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to investigate variances and communicate findings while providing backup for Accounts Receivable

Qualifications

• Hands-on cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of standard costing, labor and overhead costs, manufacturing variances.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and time-management abilities.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze standard labor and overhead costs by model.
• Analyze monthly manufacturing cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Monitor and track cost changes by part and maintain accurate costing information.
• Prepare monthly marginal profit analyses for representative models.
• Develop and support cost estimates for new model proposals.
• Assist with cost-related planning and preparation of the annual business plan.
• Process Accounts Receivable receipts and monitor aging reports.
• Create invoices and reconcile AR and sales accounts.
