Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst with manufacturing experience to own and support cost analysis, standard costing, variance analysis, reporting, and related accounting activities, while providing secondary support for Accounts Receivable.

The role focuses on manufacturing cost accounting, including labor and overhead costs, variances, profitability analysis, and cost estimates, in a collaborative accounting team environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of standard costing, labor and overhead costs, and variances.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Experience with SAP or BPCS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Cost Accounting: build, maintain, and analyze standard labor and overhead costs by model.
• Analyze monthly manufacturing cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Monitor and track cost changes by part and maintain accurate costing information.
• Prepare monthly marginal profit analyses for representative models.
• Develop and support cost estimates for new model proposals.
• Compile monthly labor reports and maintain material indexes.
• Assist with cost-related planning and the annual business plan.
• Partner with internal teams to understand cost drivers and manufacturing variances.
