Job summary

Staff Financial Group is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst with manufacturing experience to join our accounting team. The role focuses on cost accounting, standard labor and overhead costs, variances, profitability analysis, and cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing cost accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to investigate variances and explain cost drivers while supporting accounts receivable activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of standard costing, labor and overhead costs, manufacturing variances, and cost analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and analyze standard labor and overhead costs by model.
• Analyze monthly manufacturing cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Monitor and track cost changes by part and maintain accurate costing information.
• Prepare monthly marginal profit analyses for representative models.
• Develop and support cost estimates for new model proposals.
• Assist with cost-related planning and annual business plan preparation.
