Job summary

ATI is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to support cost reporting, inventory analysis, and profitability evaluation. You will work with manufacturing, sales, and finance teams to analyze production costs, inventory activity, and performance metrics, ensuring timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting and analysis activities.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to production inventories.
• Prepare inventory and WIP adjusting journal entries.
• Reconcile inventory balances to the general ledger.
• Support other accounting projects and analyses as needed.
• Support internal and external financial audits.
• Prepare monthly inventory reporting including raw materials, inventory turns, cycle times, and product line totals.
• Analyze inventory activity and support reporting requirements for management.
• Lead annual physical inventory audits and reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting.
• Review and prepare sales order cost workups.
• Analyze major sales projects and associated costs.
• Prepare profitability analyses and reporting for management.
• Work with production teams to analyze monthly production variances.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and monitor progress against improvement initiatives.
• Prepare ROI analyses and financial evaluations for capital projects.
• Monitor capital project performance and report on financial results.
