Job summary

Kurt J Lesker Company is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage product costing, inventory valuation, and operational financial reporting. This role collaborates with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to drive profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include cost analysis, month-end close support, and ERP improvements using D365 Finance & Operations. Strong Excel and manufacturing costing experience are required; Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including inventory costing in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting.
• Experience with D365 for inventory and cost transactions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze costs including labor, material, and overhead rates.
• Prepare cost reports and analyses to support decision-making.
• Analyze production results, inventory movements, and gross margin.
• Support forecasting and budgeting of standard product costs.
• Month-end close responsibilities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve costing processes.
