Job summary

TriMas Life Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support manufacturing financial operations at our Denver facility. You will analyze costs, maintain standard costing and inventory records, and support month-end close while partnering with operations to boost profitability.

You will also help track tooling costs, prepare margin analysis, and provide actionable insights to business partners. 5 days onsite at Denver, CO, with a focus on accuracy and cost transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (IQMS, Epicor, LN, Syteline) preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and maintain standard costing.
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly margin analysis and variance reports and provide insight to business partners.
• Track tooling costs and provide financial transparency related to tooling.
• Maintain and analyze inventory, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities with operations leadership.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Capital asset tracking and summarization.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
