Job summary

We are seeking a Cost Accountant (Manufacturing) in Wayne, NJ to join a growing accounting team. This onsite role partners with operations to improve financial performance and drive process efficiencies.

Responsibilities include standard cost analysis, inventory reconciliation, month-end close support, and collaboration with production leadership to optimize costs and efficiency. CPA/CMA or progress toward certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Dynamics GP.
• CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is highly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard cost accounting systems and analyze manufacturing variances.
• Reconcile raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with month-end close.
• Partner with production leadership to analyze costs, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Support physical inventory counts and internal/external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
