Job summary

Prysmian Group in the United States is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing automation systems across the plant. You will own PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, networks, data collection, and automation projects, while supporting daily operations and long-term capital initiatives.

This role collaborates with Operations Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality to boost reliability, capability, and digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 3-7+ years of manufacturing controls and automation experience.
• Experience leading automation or capital projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC programs and control systems.
• Support and improve HMI and SCADA applications.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and controls-related issues.
• Maintain control system documentation, backups, and change management records.
• Lead controls-related capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Manage controls vendors, system integrators, and contractors.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Support process capability studies and Six Sigma improvement projects.
• Develop automated data collection and reporting solutions.
