The Lumber Manufactory in Seattle is seeking a hands-on Controller to own our accounting function end to end, from the monthly close to multi-entity consolidation and payroll. You’ll build the finance team, implement scalable controls, and serve as main contact for external auditors and tax advisors.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you’ll partner with FP&A on budgets and forecasts, drive acquisitions accounting, lead ERP initiatives, and mentor accountants as we add mills and scale the business.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and an active CPA license.
• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Currently in a Senior Accounting Manager, Associate Controller, Assistant Controller or Controller role.
• Manufacturing accounting experience including inventory, cost accounting and fixed assets.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and external audit experience.
• Hands-on payroll experience for hourly workforces.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle area.

Mansioni

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close with GAAP financial statements.
• Run general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting.
• Oversee depreciation for mill construction and equipment.
• Design and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Manage annual financial statement audit and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Partner with FP&A on budgets, forecasts and reporting.
• Oversee payroll accounting for salaried and hourly teams.
• Lead multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Drive accounting for acquisitions from due diligence to close and opening balance sheets.
• Lead or co-lead ERP selection and implementation and integration of acquired entities.
• Hire and develop accountants as the business grows.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support team and operational needs.
