Job summary

A small manufacturing firm in Oakland, CA is seeking a Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting, preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and leading budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate should have 7–10+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management. Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a private manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing operations.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger and payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements according to GAAP.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
