Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a Denver area manufacturing company to hire an experienced Controller to lead all accounting operations, including payroll, close, and internal controls, while collaborating with executive leadership.

You will supervise a 6–7 person accounting team, drive budgeting and forecasting, and oversee cost/inventory accounting for manufacturing. Salary: $130,000–$150,000 base, plus up to 10% bonus.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing accounting experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams, preferably 6+ direct reports.
• Experience as Controller/Accounting Manager in manufacturing or related industry; ERP experience preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiencies while maintaining strong controls.

Controller – Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial reporting while providing operational insights
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiencies while maintaining a strong control environment

Controller – Qualifications

• Manufacturing accounting experience with strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and production financials
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams, preferably with responsibility for six or more direct reports
• Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager with progressive leadership responsibility in a manufacturing or related industrial environment. Experience with Sage 50 or a similar manufacturing ERP is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
