Job summary

Connexion is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I (1st Shift) to support production lines in Newark, NJ. The role involves testing, calibrating, and repairing machines, reading schematics, and ensuring quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a hands-on approach with computers, experience installing software and drivers, and the ability to lift 25+ lbs for assembly tasks; shift is Monday to Friday, 6am–2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Experience with computers beyond basic tech background.
• Ability to install software, updates and drivers.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrates and repairs production machines and related subassemblies to written and/or oral specifications in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding quality and efficiency standards.
• Reads and interprets schematics and blueprints required to ensure proper calibration of machines.
• Timely and accurate testing and calibration of all electronic subassemblies and must clearly document results.
• Ensure that design, implementation, test and maintenance methods and/or processes are developed as well as executed in a manner which supports all company’s Quality Standards.

Manufacturing Technician I (1st Shift)

Shift: M-F 1st shifts 6am-230pm

Notes:

• We’re looking for candidates who have strong practical interest and hands-on experience with computers, not just general technical backgrounds. Specifically, ideal candidates should demonstrate:
• Interest in computers as a hobby (e.g., building PCs, upgrading components)
• Experience installing software, updates, and drivers
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
• General technical literacy and comfort working with computer systems
• Ability to perform light physical work (lifting 25+ lbs) for assembly tasks
• It would also help to screen for candidates who show genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for working with hardware and technology, rather than purely theoretical or unrelated technical experience.
