Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Elk Grove, CA, is seeking a Process Improvement lead to drive global CI initiatives at the site.

You will implement Lean/TPM-based improvements, design and document processes, and lead GPS playbooks to reduce waste, improve line efficiency, and boost site sustainability. The role reports to Global CI and collaborates with site leadership to deliver COGS reductions while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or Food Science preferred or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or high-speed manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains updated process flow of the plants operational critical process.
• Support roll out of the Guenther Productivity System (GPS) and lead GPS Playbooks for pillars.
• Document and improve work processes for operators, maintenance, safety, and quality.
• Develop and maintain standard work; create training materials and SOPs.
• Coordinate with R&D for product changes and update SOPs accordingly.
• Lead Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve line efficiency and sustainability.
• Drive Operational Excellence through digital tech and serve as plant champion for CI events.
• Champion productivity roadmaps and reduce COGS; lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead vertical startup for new equipment/lines; adapt to non-standard hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
