Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead strategic capital investment projects that improve capacity, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience managing capital projects within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
• Experience leading equipment installation, automation, controls, or manufacturing technology projects.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead CapEx projects from concept through implementation, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Drive initiatives supporting Cost-Out, Design-to-Value (DtV), quality improvements, and capacity expansion.
• Define equipment and system requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Manage equipment procurement, vendor relationships, technical reviews, and project execution activities.
• Plan and support shutdown activities, ensuring successful installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to validate performance.
• Drive project governance through Tier meetings, action plans, STECO reviews, and regular CapEx portfolio reviews.
• Lead automation, controls, and digitalization initiatives while identifying best practices across Hitachi Energy manufacturing sites.
