Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Drafter in Jacksonville, FL to create and maintain production drawings and documentation. You will translate engineering concepts into production-ready drawings and write work instructions to support manufacturing readiness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CAD proficiency (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Inventor), attention to detail, and strong collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor.
• Experience creating and revising technical drawings in manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of drafting standards and document control principles.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in technical work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Collaborative and able to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering document systems.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, layouts, assembly drawings, and schematics based on engineering concepts, production requirements, and technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process layouts, and other controlled manufacturing documentation.
• Revise existing drawings and documentation to support engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Production, Quality, and Design teams to ensure usable documentation for safe, efficient manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering sketches, redlines, notes, and specifications into formal controlled documents.
• Support new product introduction and equipment implementation through production documentation packages.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and applicable engineering requirements.
• Maintain document control within applicable systems, releasing current revisions and archiving obsolete documents.
• Assist in standardizing drawing formats and templates across functions.
• Troubleshoot documentation issues on the production floor and update drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams to verify dimensions, tolerances, material callouts, and manufacturability requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability of documentation.
