Qualifications

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Engineering degree preferred
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design
• Effective communication at multiple levels and relationship building
• Growth mindset and desire to expand technical skillset
• Results-driven with customer-focus
• CAD Software: SolidWorks/AutoCAD
• Lean Manufacturing experience (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke-Yoke, VSM)
• Ability to determine root cause using 8D and 5 Why tools
• Low/High Voltage knowledge and troubleshooting
• PLC programming a plus
• PFMEA experience preferred
• Project management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and be the first contact for line stoppage
• Assist Engineering team with researching and specifying options for equipment
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve issues
• Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems including investigations and corrective action planning
• Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize efficiency and quality
• Uphold manufacturing standards including process maps, set-ups, quality controls, routing, and cycle times
• Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source
• Serve as a voice of the customer for new design input
• Partner with on-site EHS to ensure safety compliance (OSHA)
